Hi All !!
Last night I happened to run across a series of quotes I'd gathered over many years and typed up in "Fortune Cookie" format, and I thought you might enjoy reading them too, one or two at a time. I'll start off with two for today :

I read this a couple of days ago downtown : it was a royal-purple tapestry hanging with metallic-gold lettering, and it had the word R-O-T-A-R-Y all around the 4 borders, so I feel safe to say that this is the motto of the Rotary Club here, perhaps the whole United States. It said :4-Way Test of the Things You Say or Do
1st -- Is it the TRUTH?
2nd -- Is it FAIR to all concerned?
3rd -- Will it build GOOD and BETTER FRIENDSHIP?

I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed your thread! I have a quote book by Thomas Fuller - the granddaddy of quote collectors - from Shakespeare's day - you can get a funny old reprint with the old timey "s's" that look like f's - most of B. Franklin's Poor Richard quotes came from him - but his quotes came from all over the place - remembering and saving something is just as important as thinking of it in the first place <--you can quote me, lol.
I agree with whoever said (on this thread) that they only need "a little snack" - I find it harder to stick to an entire book - a good quote will set me thinking all day.
I will give you a favorite quote of mine - but my new favorites may be some of yours, thanks again very much!

....It makes me think of ANOTHER saying : "Two heads are better than one." And THIS just NOW made me think of a paraphrasing of this last : "Two hearts are better than one." Never can tell what two Children of God can "come up with" when in Heaven!!! ha!  I believe there IS jolly good humor in God's Kingdom, as well as creating 'Things of Beauty'.
Yes, "Good Thoughts" (or "Food for Thought") can better be fully 'digested' in small amounts...by grazing (it was Lovesvoice who said this). SOMEtimes, though, when it comes to Good Thoughts or chocolate, I have to "pig out" a little, till I'm utterly SATISFIED! AH HAHAHAHAA!! Sayyyy, speaking of chocolate, is it REALLY 'the food of the gods,' or is this just a carnal thought?????
